Project Highlight: Boone, IA

This was a twenty-acre retired CRP prairie with significant invasive crown vetch cover after frequent prescribed fires. While fires certainly have their benefits, for some invasive weed concerns, they are contraindicated. After several years of no burning and the use of specialty herbicides, the prairie is thriving!
